An invitation to a Service of Commemoration to mark the end of World War I

The Bishop of Meath and Kildare, The Most Rev Pat Storey, along with the Dean and Chapter of St Brigid’s Cathedral, Kildare invite you to attend a special service in St Brigid’s Cathedral, Kildare on Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at 3 p.m to commemorate all who served from these dioceses, and in particular those who made the supreme sacrifice.

Kildare Cathedral has been chosen as the place of commemoration because the county of Kildare was a major centre of military activity. The Curragh Camp was the headquarters of the British Army in Ireland and there were significant garrisons in the neighbouring towns of Newbridge and Naas.

We hope that you will be able to join with us for this Service of Commemoration to mark the end of World War I.
